Volunteer
We’re setting out to be an unusual organisation in that we’re run entirely by volunteers. That’s because we think most people are fed up that a large proportion of their hard earned donations to ‘charities’ are often spent on administration costs, when they’d rather they went to the needy. We spend EVERY PENNY of the money donated to us on our projects, and at the same time aim to establish that there’s ‘a better way’ to run charities – so Auntie is run entirely by volunteers. That means we need your time as much as your money – and we hope you’ll volunteer….
We need volunteers to help us in 3 ways….
1. To help us run Auntie
Whether it be donating time to do our bookkeeping, writing articles and features for our website or Children’s Resources, helping to run an Auntie Project, or bringing a special skill that you have to our organisation…..we need your help. Please navigate through our list of opportunities in the right sidebar or using the section links at the bottom of the page
2. Co-ordinate the recruitment of supporters / fundraisers / settings...
...within your area, and then help us to support them, particularly in fundraising and implementing our projects. 3. Fundraise
Either by running one of our projects or an Open Day at your setting, or fundraising yourself (perhaps you’ve always wanted to be sponsored to abseil down a mountain!) |
We hope we can help to make volunteering a sociable and extremely rewarding experience for you, and that you’ll enjoy ‘putting something back’.
